Italy is a well known foreign country where many people come to visit. The beautiful landscape and delicious food attract folks from all over.
Venice
Venice is known as "the city of canals" because the streets aren't streets-they are canals! There are 200 canals in Venice.
People usually travel in Venice by gondola, gondolier, or vaporetti.
Rome
Rome is the capital of Italy.
Because of it's ancient landmarks and wonderful foods, it is known as a great tourist attractions throughout the world. Often people from other continents visit it to explore it's rare wonders. It is cool and near another great place, the island of Sicily. It is a wonderful experience to visit Rome.
Sicily
Sicily, a beautiful island off the east coast of Italy (they are ten miles apart), is just as wonderful as Rome (see above).
It is very warm and sunny in Sicily.
Sicily is the largest island in the mediterranean sea. There are several volcanos on the island of Sicily. One is Taormina. Several others are Mount Etna and Mount Stromboli.
Surely you will think Sicily is beatiful.
Sardinia
Sardinia is the next-largest island in the Mediterranian sea. It is just as hot and sun-baked as Sicily (see above). Sardinia is the only place in the world where white donkeys are in existance.
Goat cheese made in Sardinia is highly prized on the mainland of Italy.
Lots of people from Italy's mainland come to enjoy the beatiful scenery; containing white sand beaches, fortress ruins, and large caves known as grottos.
The capital of Italy is Rome. Rome, Rome, Rome. Am I obsessed with Rome? Italy is located in Europe, by the way. You'll need that in a question on Question Express. Oop!
